Post 7 of 8: Using the Best Growth Hacks to Profit From a Big Blog10 Minute Reading Time

When you first heard about internet marketing, it’s possible that selling things manufactured by others was not what you had in mind. Maybe you’ve always wanted to be a successful blogger. Perhaps your strategy is to leverage internet marketing to launch a successful blog or website for an existing business.

So, how does a blog generate revenue? What’s more, how do you get on the gravy train?

The answer, as we briefly said before in this book, is that it makes money by growing an audience, specifically a targeted audience. Hopefully, you can now see all of the ways you can profit from an audience once you have one.

If you have a popular site, you may rapidly start making a lot of money from your readers by adopting one of the aforementioned business models: selling PLR products, selling affiliate products, selling a lot of affiliate products, or using it to market a service.

The best part is that maintaining a blog allows you to build a relationship with your audience and assist them in getting to know you.

If they read your advise and thoughts on a frequent basis, they should have firsthand knowledge of how knowledgeable you are and how helpful your guidance may be to them. As a result, they will be ‘primed’ when you come to sell them something.

You’ll become a thought leader once you reach that point, and other firms will want to advertise their products via you. This is when individuals will begin to pay you to promote their items, or where you can begin to be compensated for displaying PPC ads.

If you already own a business, you might consider making it your goal to reach this level. Once you’re there, you’ll notice that a lot more people are learning about your company and trusting you enough to buy from you.

Content marketing, one of the most powerful and vital types of internet marketing, is built on this foundation.

Why You Should Never Display Ads and Always Sell

Building a large audience, on the other hand, takes time. Creating a blog is not the fastest way to start earning money online while simply committing a modest amount of time each week.

Those who have thousands of daily views are either lucky or took a long time to get there.

As a result, attempting to start an internet business only on the basis of PPC is a waste of time. Because that is the approach that many first-timers will take.

Google AdSense is similar to AdWords, but it only works on websites – like yours! People will be eager to spend $20 or $50 to have their advertising appear on sites like yours, and Google will assist them in doing so for a fee.

As a result, you might make 10 cents for each click, or even 1 cent or 0.01 cent in some circumstances.

Furthermore, you can realistically expect 1-5 clicks for every thousand visitors that visit your site. The point is that it will take a long time for you to be able to create a living just on this type of company approach.

The fact that you are establishing yourself at the bottom of the pyramid when you adopt this business strategy is even more vital to consider. Because an advertiser is paying them more, Google is paying you to show those advertisements.

And the advertiser is only ready to pay Google more because they know they can make more money from those visitors – they’re probably selling them a digital product worth several hundred dollars. You’re also making a few cents.

They wouldn’t be prepared to pay you for those visitors if they weren’t making more money from them. And every time a customer clicks on one of those adverts, you’re losing a customer and driving them away from your business. This is the polar opposite of successful business!

The preferable method is to sell your own product, an affiliate product, or a service.

Developing Trust and Providing Value

So you’ve previously established a company and want to add a blog to your website? Or perhaps you simply want to create your own website to promote a product or service.

Unfortunately, this is where having a “business mind” can backfire.

Because many individuals believe that in order to maintain a successful business blog for the purpose of promoting a product or service, they must keep completely ‘on topic.’ The same is true for social media; they believe they must produce postings about their company, their product, and the industry.

This is something I’ve seen many times. I proposed that one of my clients, who used EPOS software (electronic point of sale), publish pieces about small businesses, productivity, and technology. However, they were mainly interested in writing about how EPOS software could help firms save money.

Now, here’s the question you should always ask yourself: who is going to read that? Who wants to check in every day to see what the latest item you’re writing about if all you’re doing is openly pushing your own product or brand?

Instead, make sure you’re adding value to the table. You should give away some important or amusing material for free so that people will want to return. Only by doing so will you be able to attract an interested audience to whom you may sell.

So, the greatest method to have a successful blog is to write about topics that your readers will enjoy. Always be consistent and passionate, and only promote your products and services when it’s appropriate. This will help you obtain more shares, locate people who are interested in subscribing to your site, and more.

Growth Hacks for a Rapidly Expanding Audience

However, all of this takes time. There is a lot of time.

And the goal of this book is to make money and be successful at internet marketing in the shortest amount of time feasible. So, what should you do if you want to speed up your development and expand your audience even more quickly?

Using ‘growth hacks’ is one option. These are basic ways for growing and promoting your website that don’t require you to wait for word of mouth to spread naturally.

Using something termed ‘influencer marketing’ is one of the most potent and popular examples.

Simply said, influencer marketing is leveraging the power of an existing influencer: someone with a lot of clout and a sizable audience in the same niche (or a related niche).

If you can identify a YouTuber that gets 500,000 views on each of their videos, all you have to do now is message them and request that they mention your website or blog in their next video.

If you can persuade them to do so, your website could receive hundreds of thousands of visitors on the same day. This has the potential to completely change the course of your company’s success.

Of course, identifying influencers and persuading them to support you is the difficult part of influencer marketing.

Offering to pay them for their time is one approach to get around this. Another way is to identify a laid-back influencer who doesn’t mind giving you a shout-out (some are just having a good time and are pleased to assist!). Alternatively, you may offer to assist them in some way.

Why not collaborate on a project with them? If you have a skill to contribute, you may assist them succeed while also increasing the likelihood that they will acknowledge you.

If you know how to make apps, for example, contact them and offer to build them their own app. They’ll most likely be delighted and pleased, and as a result, they’ll advertise the app, for which you can divide the revenue 50/50.

If you’re having trouble getting an influencer to listen, one effective method is to hire them for a project. If you can identify an influencer who provides a consultation or sells a product, you may place an order with them, and they will be compelled to reply.

Meeting them in person is another excellent option. Once you’ve made contact with them in one of these ways, you’ll probably find that they’re much more willing to listen and assist you. It’s all about making genuine connections and relationships.

Another smart growth hack is to just discover that perfect route to market. If you can write the perfect blog post and promote it in the right place, you’ll frequently find that you can get a massive rush of visitors from just a single link.

Make your message fascinating and unique enough that everyone in a specific SubReddit or forum will want to read it. If you do it right, you might get hundreds of clicks, and some of them might be interested in subscribing to your feed or even ordering a product right away!

Your SEO Quick Reference Guide

But this wouldn’t be an internet marketing book if we didn’t mention it.

SEO stands for ‘search engine optimization.’

The concept behind this is that by making modifications to your website and generating links to it, you will increase the likelihood of your site appearing in Google search results when someone searches for something related.

Unfortunately, when it comes to marketing your website, this is not a particularly quick tool. SEO takes a long time to implement, and there is never a guarantee that it will be successful. You can put forth a lot of effort and still come up short.

However, if you develop a systemized approach to SEO, you can find ways to speed up the process, such as publishing new content once a week or outsourcing the process.

Google essentially looks for content that matches the search phrases entered by users. When someone types a keyword into Google, it searches its database for relevant results and presents the sites with the most relevant material.

To add new sites to the index, Google uses ‘spiders,’ which are programmes that explore the web by following links. Google considers each link to be a testimonial, and the better the site that links to you, the more weight that testimony has.

Your goal is to fill your site with high-quality content that Google will find useful, as well as to get links from the most important and largest websites. Collaboration with influencers is common here as well.

Attempting to fool Google is not a good idea. It is not a smart idea to try to spam Google. Don’t try to ‘keyword stuff’ your content by repeating the search phrase several times, and don’t pay others to promote your links. Because Google is intelligent enough to catch you out, you will be penalised.

Instead, focus on converting your website into the type of high-quality site that influential people will want to be connected with. Is your online brand as appealing as the top competitors? If not, you’ll have to put in some effort!

However, you must realise that in Google’s view, a single “right link” can completely change the game and is worth far more than a slew of “low-quality” connections. You must first determine who Google trusts in order to obtain the appropriate links.

What is the answer? Google gives authoritative websites a lot of credit. This covers domains ending in.gov and.edu.

.edu. It refers to well-known brands and websites that have been around for a long time.

If your site gets a link from a site like that, it will get a MUCH bigger boost in a much shorter amount of time. Furthermore, even if you get a link from a site that already has a link like that, you’ll still get a big boost. Consider it analogous to the ‘degrees of separation’ notion.

Another option is to look for news-related websites in Google’s news area. If Google places a site there, it’s a clear sign that it trusts the brand. Focus your efforts on building high-quality links, and your SEO will be twice as successful in half the time.
